Joss Stone

BIOGRAPHY

Joss Stone, independent singer-songwriter - and proud of it - from Devon (UK), who has always been unstoppable, starting with the release of her famous first album The Soul Sessions (2003), at just 15 years old. 7 albums released over a 16-year period, winner of Grammy and Brit Awards, boasts a remarkable artistic maturity.

In addition to performing alongside legendary and diverse artists such as James Brown, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Sting, Van Morrison, Melissa Etheridge, Joss has always been known for experimenting with different styles and sounds. All of her albums feature an exciting patchwork of various influences, creating a catalog characterized by the fusion of her powerful soul voice with influences from reggae, world music and hip hop.

The latest album Never Forget My Love, released in February 2022, is no exception. Written and produced with Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), the songs that compose it have the setting of the classic American songwriters of the past, with lyrics that at first glance might sound very specific to the artist, but which in reality are widely applicable to people to connect and hug with.

«You know Dusty Springfield, Burt Bacharach, Dionne Warwick - that kind of timeless, classy song. Imagine long gloves and a dress».

A fascinating blend: classic strings and woodwinds that blend perfectly with Joss's unique voice. It will be exciting to listen to these new songs live and her great hits in a musical journey steeped in soul soul.
