Leo Gassman


Leo Gassman was born in Rome on November 22, 1998, a family of artists and a demanding surname. At the age of 9 he entered the Accademia di Santa Cecilia and studied classical guitar and solfeggio for 5 years.At the age of 14 Leo won an interpreters competition organized by Marco Rinalduzzi, guitarist, composer and producer, well known in the Italian music scene. At 19 he was selected to be one of the twelve competitors of X Factor 12 Italia, reaching the semifinal, showing a unique talent in writing and singing. During his journey within the program, Leo had the opportunity to rewrite an unpublished piece by Lewis Capaldi in Italian, called Piume, obtaining a great response from the public.

In 2020 he wins the new proposal of the Sanremo festival with the song Vai bene così, confirming his skills as a songwriter and great maturity and intensity of interpretation, despite his still very young age. The videoclip of Vai Bene cosi, which to date boasts over 7 million reviews on YouTube, earned him the Rome Videoclip Sanremo Giovani 2020 Award he received during the Rome Film Fest. Two years after Strike, his debut album that gathers over 11M streams, the young Roman singer-songwriter returns with La Mia Libertà, the new single accompanied by a videoclip created by Leo himself who used original footage of his family and his childhood taken directly from his personal archives.
