BIOGRAPHY

One of* the most striking, formidable rising stars with a strong drive towards alternative pop, ZAND (they/them), non-binary born in Blackpool, is a force of nature to be reckoned with. Explos * on the scene with an ugly pop sound, self-described genre border, in 2018 he demonstrated his skills as a singer, composer * and producer.

His self-released debut EP 'Ugly Pop' released in November 2020 amassed over 5.5 million streams, garnering attention from the likes of DIY Magazine, Wonderland Magazine, Attitude Magazine, Alt Press and more. Nominated for Kerrang's "Sound of 2022" late last year, ZAND has continued to release singles including "Religion," featuring underground EDM producer Shurk, "Battery Acid," and most recently, the collaboration with Banshee for "Kill All Predators". An electrifying and inspiring performer, ZAND has already toured with Peaches, Scene Queen, Bob Vylan, Witch Fever and VUKOVI and headlined 2KTrees.

With over 17 million active streams, 2023 will see the release of ZAND's second EP and the start of a busy summer festival season, as the artist continues to build his international and diverse fan base, tracing his his way into the alternative scene both in the UK and beyond.
